We did some more befunky pictures like some of the ones that we did earlier. These are some people in 7th grade.

Typewithme
Twiddla


Today we looked at collaborative tools. They were both very useful. I found that the typewithme was the easiest to use but you could change your name so that no one new who you were so that was bad. If you needed to visually draw something to show the other people the twiddla would be the better tool. I personally liked the typewithme was the best site because it was the easiest to use.
You can also use the chat an both sites. They had current update so that it was like every letter came up as the person just. Twiddla had a sandbox that was not very appropriate for younger kids. People were drawing very inappropriate pictures. The Twiddla was also crashing a few times where typewithme did not.

Cooking With Jacob

We have a media project that we have to find something that we like and I picked cooking. I cook everything from breakfast to dinner, and from entrees to dessert. I have a recipe on guacamole, peanut butter cookies, and a video of my demonstration speech that I did on dish pan cookies. I decided to present it through a wiki. Secret Builders

Secret builders was a lot better than poptropica. You could interact with others a lot more than poptropica. The games were a lot better than the poptropica. It was easy to get started. All you need is an email and a password. There was some stupid people on it but there is stupid people everywhere. I recommend it for teenagers more than little kids. There was some education. There was some quizzes that would teach random facts. It deals with money. You can buy stuff that you can't find anywhere else.
There are different islands that you go to to get different things and meet different people.Here is a picture of the front page.
The different places will be on the map at the bottom of the post. I was a good game and worked well.

Science Fair

This year's science fair was really stressful. I was doing my experiment on different glues and their bonds. I found out that Elmer's Wood Glue had the best bond. I also found out that glues are a type of covalent bond, and that welding is ionic bond.

Poptropica

This game was very boring because of the theme of the game. The graphics were terrible. They were made for a kid ages 8-10. The game was not very good in the sense of plot . The game did take a lot of time to get started. It would not keep one person as your character. If this sounds like a good game to you go try it out and tell me what you think about it. I do agree that the game is very educational. Once you get it started it will give very interesting facts. There are levels where you can go into a shark museum. The shark museum tells facts like the average life span of a shark is 25 years, that more people are killed by pigs than sharks, etc.
The controls were not normal to me. You would have to take an arrow and move it were you wanted. The bad thing is that you had to hold the mouse there. I am used to the click where you want to go and it will go there.
